Artifact 5, 2024
Reckless Rivals was a real-time PVP strategy game for mobile, developed by a small team at the Montreal indie game studio Artifact 5. New concepts were presented and iterated based on feedback from the Art Director and dev team, and with each Agile sprint, the in-game UI was gradually brought from wireframes and placeholders to a whimsical and functional interface, balancing aesthetics with accessibility and gameplay clarity.

Made in Montreal for Global Game Jam 2021 with Robin Beaurepaire and Gretel Galeazzi. With the city still in COVID lockdown, the nightlife and rave communities were all but extinguished, feeling like a hazy dream or distant memories. So we made a game about it.
